The wild beauties were in ecstasy

They were dancing like mad

Their steps were erratic

And not in tune with the music…

That was sleep inducing and gentle.

The wild beauties made their presence felt

There was a sort of drunkenness about them

The one draped in yellow looked more aggressive

The tall trees which stood here and there

Just nodded their heads in appreciation

The birds were not all that happy

May be because the dry leaves blocked their way.

With the dark clouds well spread and ‘spotless’

The evening sun called it a day.

The show of the wild beauties went on

But none to watch, not even the stray dog

The long winding road looked barren

Had it been a sunny day

I would have enjoyed the fun

But on sunny days they stand still

Much to our annoyance.
